Private Screening of Marvel’s Black Panther for Our Youth

Coollivin.com a local media company understands how the images our youth see are vital to the character building in their futures. The release of Marvel’s film the “Black Panther” is more than just a movie. This presents an opportunity for youth in our under-served communities (primarily of color) to witness a major black comic book character come to life on the big screen. This movie presents a unique opportunity for youth in Aurora, Colorado and the surrounding community.
Representation is important in the positive development of our children. Coollivin.com’s owner Dorne Adams Jr. wants to not only host this fun family event for the community, but wants to further the work where it impacts its residents long after the event. With this event, the company will also launch their Coollivin Media Scholarship. Any proceeds or donations exceeding the cost of the film will be donated to develop a scholarship for a student entering the Colorado Film School. This presents the platform to not only give our children an opportunity to see their likeness on the big screen, but additionally create an educational benefit for them to learn, develop and create movies that will mirror this sentiment. We are fostering the leaders and creators of tomorrow through our efforts and our commitment.

Colorado Film School is a part of Community College of Aurora. Community College of Aurora enables students to become lifelong learners, while also preparing them for success in the workforce. All donations will go through the Community College of Aurora (CCA) Foundation a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to supporting the success of CCA in its commitment to student success and high quality education.
Cost breakdown for the movie:
$6.50 per child ticket
$10.00 refreshments per child
$10.50 per chaperone ticket
